FLIPPING FABULOUS PANCAKE DAY!
A simple recipe for the whole family to enjoy this Pancake day with Aldiss.
Ingredients- 2 Eggs,
- 100g Plain Flour
- 300ml Semi Skimmed Milk,
- 1tbsp Sunflower Oil
- Pinch of Salt
Method
- Mix the flour & salt in a large bowl, make a well in the centre
- Crack the eggs in the centre, then pour 50ml of milk, pinch of salt and 1tbsp of oil
- Beat until you have a smooth, thick paste
- Whisk in a splash of milk to loosen the thick batter
- Add the remaining milk continuously stirring until your batter is the right consistency
- Heat the pan over moderate heat & add a small amount of oil
- Ladle the batter in the pan covering the base
- It should turn golden brown underneath & after 30 secs it should be ready to turn
- Slide a fish slice under the pancake then quickly lift and flip
- Cook for another 30 secs then slide out onto a warm plate
